Vol. 1 No. 1 (2025): The Space Court Foundation Student Space Law Journal

It is with great pride that we present Volume 1, Issue 1, of the Space Court Foundation Student Space Law Journal (SCF SSLJ). In an era of unprecedented growth in space activities, driven by both state and private actors, the need for fresh perspectives and innovative legal analysis has never been greater. Yet, until now, there has been no open, dedicated space law journal for students and young professionals to enter the scholarly conversation at the highest level.

The Space Court Foundation established this Journal to empower a new generation of space-law thinkers. We believe that by lowering traditional barriers to publication and providing structured editorial mentorship, we can cultivate talent, stimulate debate, and advance the rule of space law. The contributions in this issue, ranging from comparative examinations of national regulatory frameworks to visionary essays on sustainability, dark-sky preservation, and the governance of autonomous space systems, reflect the breadth and depth of contemporary space law scholarship.

We are grateful to our authors, reviewers, and editorial team for their dedication to upholding the exacting standards of academic integrity and clarity that underpin the SCF SSLJ.
